Hunter Lynch

Hunter began serving as Worship Pastor/Family Ministries Associate for Highland Baptist Church since November 2018. He has been serving as a Worship Leader in various capacities since High School, serving as student worship intern in different local churches, as well as the Hinds BSU. He has received a BA in Christian Studies from Mississippi College and a Masters of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Both Hunter and his wife, Ellie, are originally from Vicksburg, and the city holds a special place in their hearts. They have two beautiful daughters, Laney and Emmalyn. Hunter is passionate about creating music, regularly writing in different outlets, and he loves to play the trumpet and learn new instruments. He treasures the gift of being able to lead the congregation of Highland Baptist Church in the praise and honoring of God through music.

Ellie began serving as the Children's Minister in November of 2018. Ellie grew up in Vicksburg, MS and has always had a passion for children’s ministry, serving others, and the local church. She graduated from Mississippi College in 2014 with a Bachelor of Music Education degree. After teaching music for a year, she surrendered to the call of ministry. She and her husband Hunter have 2 precious daughters, Laney and Emmalyn. Ellie loves making music with her husband, baking, and trying new Pinterest recipes.
